Lemington lies on the north bank of the Tyne in west Newcastle, between Scotswood and Newburn. Its best-known landmark is the tall brick glass cone, a surviving reminder of the glassmaking that once made the area busy, and the riverside nearby is now part of a green corridor popular with walkers and cyclists.
