About Brunton Park

Brunton Park is a large, established residential estate in the north of Newcastle, between Gosforth and Wideopen and right next to the newer housing of Newcastle Great Park. The Ouse Burn runs along its edge, and the estate is close to the A1 and the A1056, making it easy to get to the city, Killingworth or Cramlington. Its tree-lined roads, green verges and generous plots make it a popular place for families and retired couples.

The houses are mostly post-war semi-detached and detached homes and bungalows, many of which have been extended or remodelled. Plenty of owners have lived on the estate for a long time, and homes here tend to have plenty of internal joinery, from doors and skirting to fitted cupboards, along with substantial gardens.

After building work and renovations

Because so many Brunton Park houses have been extended, reconfigured or had new floors laid, we are often called in to finish the details once the main work is done. That might be fitting skirting and architrave in a new room, hanging doors that match the rest of the house, boxing in pipework, putting up shelving or decorating the new space. Our finishing carpentry covers these jobs, so the new and old parts of the house feel like they belong together.

Some homes in the lower parts of the estate have had to deal with water damage in the past. Where a room has been dried out and re-plastered, we can refit skirting, re-hang doors that have swollen and redecorate once surfaces are ready.

If you are replacing a shed, we can take the old one down first so the base is clear for the new one.

Within our own trades, we are happy to take on anything from a single loose hinge to a full list of indoor and outdoor jobs, and grouping them together often makes a visit to the north of the city more worthwhile for everyone.
