Fellgate lies on the southern side of Jarrow in South Tyneside, close to Hebburn, Hedworth and Monkton, with fields and the main roads towards Washington and Sunderland just to the south. Fellgate Metro station gives quick access to Newcastle, Gateshead and South Shields, which is one reason the estate is popular with families and commuters.
